Building on the breakthru Theragun PRO G4, which was the first handheld massager with Bluetooth, the Theragun PRO G5 now has on-board routines built into the device, besides continuing compatibility with the Theragun app. The app allws you to not only track the pressure you apply, but also to adjust your massager's speed using your smart phone. In addition, there are also guided sessions on the app and the device for specific body areas, plus specific routines such as a nightly sleep preparation that is really useful for bedtime relaxation. Furthermore, the app allows you to track and store your session information.

 

The fact that the routines are built-in means you can quickly and easily follow routines without fussing with your phone. The app stores the sessions length and frequency by data and time, means you now have access to your recovery data and analytics, helping you spot trends in your performance and recovery, to help you optimize your performance and use.

Is the Theragun PRO G5 Stronger?

In terms of power, the Theragun PRO continues the Theragun legacy of robust power. Thanks to its industry leading 16 mm amplitude and 2,400 percussions per minute (PPM), your muscles and knots will be treated quickly and with ease.

How does the Theragun PRO G5 feel on your Back?

The Theragun PRO G5 weighs slightly under 3 lbs, which means it is pleasant to hold while treating all areas of your body.

 

 

Back: The Theragun PRO G5 is lighter than the previous model, so it makes it even easier to treat your traps without enduring much shoulder fatigue, if any at all. Of course, the back is one area where a partner is especially useful, but you can still get the job done thanks to the adjustable shaft and lighter weight. Overall the Theragun PRO G5 will quickly loosen your upper back muscles and subdue the worst knots with ease. PRO Tip: use the thumb attachment for the toughest knots.

Legs: If you have sore legs or poor circulation, the Theragun PRO G5 is a godsend. Plus, self-treatment is a breeze. You can refresh your calves and feet very quickly, or dig deep into your quads, hamstrings and glutes for a complete restoration. PRO Tip: Start with the round ball for your leg areas, but swap out to the thumb attachment for treating deeper knots. Try the Micro-Point attachment for your shins. 

Front Shoulders, Forearms: The SUPERSOFT attachment is a gamechanger on your thinner muscle groups, and as such it works great on the forearms and front deltoids. I also enjoyed using the Micro-Point, dampner and wedge attachment on these areas.

Temples, Headaches, Nape of neck: Never before would I recommend using a handheld massager on your temples, but the SUPERSOFT attachment makes this possible, and using it provides instant relief from tension headaches or migraines. Furthermore, charging is also easier than ever, as it is now equipped for Wireless charging. Most people will only need to use the Theragun PRO G5 for 5-10 minute at a time before they start feeling fully relived, so that's a lot of battery life!
